As you grow into estimating responsibilities, your compensation scales with the complexity of projects you handle. Senior estimators earn $80K–$100K+ with leadership and training responsibilities.

From the first visuals that help a homeowner picture their remodel, to the finished plans that guide construction crews, you’ll be the detail-driven link between sales, design, and production. Every project “book” you create becomes the ammo our sales team uses to earn client confidence — and later, the roadmap production uses to deliver a flawless build.

What You’ll Do
Foundation Responsibilities

Create initial project books for sales reps, including:

Site prep plans (how we protect the client’s home)

Basic electrical layouts

Perspective visuals of the remodeled space

Support sales by providing accurate, professional visuals that back up the estimate and build client trust.

Begin estimating exterior projects in CEPro (roofing, siding, windows, doors).

Document finish product selections with guidance, learning how to accurately capture details.

Train with experienced estimators on how to replace placeholders in CEPro with client selections.
Post-Sale Responsibilities

Support the finish selections process by documenting client choices.

Help prepare finished construction plans that guide production once a project is fully ready.

Keep all project documentation organized and accurate for smooth handoffs.

Previous experience in design, drafting, or construction administration is a plus — but we’ll train the right person.

Milestone to Advance: Consistently produce accurate project books and document selections without rework.

Compensation: $45K base + performance bonuses.
Builder Tier

Focus:

Take full ownership of standard projects (bathrooms or exterior remodels).
-
Carry a project from estimate stage (with placeholders) all the way through:

Documenting all finish selections.
-
Replacing placeholders in CEPro with actual client selections.
-
Preparing production-ready plans with minimal supervision.
-

Continue performing construction plans and selections while building independence.
-

Milestone to Advance: Ability to independently prepare a standard bathroom or exterior project from initial estimate → production-ready status.

Compensation: $55K–$65K.
Leader Tier

Focus:

Expand ownership to more complex projects (kitchens, multi-room remodels).

Continue handling construction plans and selections, while also:

Mentoring Foundation/Builder peers.

Conducting quality checks on plans before management review.
-
Supporting production teams with adjustments during active projects.

Milestone to Advance: Consistently deliver complex project estimates and successfully mentor at least one team member to advancement.

Compensation: $65K–$80K.
Legacy Tier

Focus:

Lead estimating for large-scale projects: additions, extensions, whole-house remodels.

Still perform construction plans and selections, but with greater emphasis on:

Setting company-wide standards.

Training and certifying new coordinators.
-
Overseeing accuracy, profitability, and process improvement.

Acting as the subject-matter expert for construction planning.

Milestone to Advance: Recognized as the company’s top estimating authority, capable of leading the department while consistently delivering profitable, accurate, and scalable estimating systems.
